Reduce Emissions and Maintain Comfort

Do you care about reducing emissions while maintaining a comfortable household temperature?

Massachusetts residents are invited to sign up to participate in a research project that will increase the energy-demand flexibility of homes. This research is critical in supporting the transition to renewable energy. Led by an interdisciplinary research team at Northeastern University, the Whole Energy Homes study is designed to understand how people interact with their thermostats to meet their comfort needs and will improve understanding of how “flexible” homes can be to balance the demands of the electric grid while continuing to provide comfortable spaces for occupants. Download a flyer and learn more at Whole Energy Homes. The sign-up deadline is Friday, September 10, 2021.
