Working Groups

The Alliance meets monthly, but the real work gets done in working groups and through ad hoc collaboration. Members are encouraged to participate in one or more working groups. These groups typically meet once a month on Zoom. Working groups also collaborate via group email addresses, shared documents on Google Drive, and messaging on Slack (an online discussion forum), so many things can be done remotely.

  • Coaching - trains and mentors new coaches, reviews coaching cases, and produces resources for coaches
  • Communications - builds awareness of the Alliance through our website, social networking and partnering with other organizations
  • Installer Relations - builds our relationship with HVAC installers and other companies in the heat pump supply chain
  • Operations - enables our activities and outreach by administering our website, CRM system, Google Workspace, Slack and other online resources
  • Organization & Membership - sets our goals and strategy, tactics for implementing the strategy, and oversees our finances
  • Technology - shares technical information about heat pumps and produces technical guides and content for the Coaching and Communications working groups
  • Policy -  helps ensure that public policy is based on a sound technical understanding of heat-pump technology.
